Once again, the El Peso team participated in the Alpe Dunav Jadran Exhibition, an annual event that continues to grow in size each year. This year, over 15 very large modular layouts were showcased at the well-known Family Mall shopping center in their spacious exhibition hall. The local model railroading club, KZMZ, not only organized the event but also marked its 55th year of operation.
The El Peso team opted for a longer layout with return loops on each end. This design was reminiscent of the layout utilized at the 2nd Dutch US Model Railroad Convention, as seen on the following link, albeit without the corner module.
The setup process was completed seamlessly, and we were fully ready for the grand opening on Friday. The exhibition was open every day, from Friday to Sunday, operating from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. As reported by the organizers, approximately 18,000 visitors attended the event over the weekend. The crowd consisted of a significant number of children and guests who had traveled from distant locations.
The El Peso team had a fantastic time at Alpe Dunav Jadran exhibition. We enjoyed operating our trains, engaging in conversations with both familiar faces and new acquaintances, and immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere.
